The game is compatible with virtual reality headsets, offering a whole new layer of realism to World War era games. The title is a play on the movie title, Back to Future. The game is set in a dystopian reality where the Nazis continue to reign. You need to go back to 1943 and make things right.
Travel back in time
As the title implies, the year is 1976. The Nazis defeated the Allied Front and, in turn, won the Great War. A bright scientist named Dr. Ivan Ivanovich will not accept this reality and created a time-machine. Your job is to ride the time machine and go back to 1943 - the year when World War II had its most momentous dogfights - aerial combat between fighter aircrafts at extremely short range.
1976 - Back to midway is more than just an action game though. It has a complex storyline where players need to seriously consider their actions in the present as it can change the course of history. There are various missions that you can choose from where you’ll be rewarded with stars. You can use these rewards to unlock more missions that will eventually lead to the future you desire.
There is still a competitive element in this game as a worldwide leaderboard will rank each player based on stars. Another unique capability of the game is its compatibility with VR hardware. This includes the headset and the controllers. The VR capability is simply to create a more immersive experience. Other than that, the game appears the same way on every platform. It also has a few controls, making it easier for every player to start.
